Tyler Bate: United Kingdom Champion

After the first round knockouts on Saturday in the United Kingdom Championship Tournament, my fifty-fifty bet of eight picks to win the whole thing got down trodden to just three as Trent, Devlin and Bate have survived to the final day of matches.

A second round match practically started as Pete Dunne would crack his next opponent Sam Gradwell at the end of day one and would end up beating him in his quarterfinal match-up.

Out of my remaining three picks, Trent would be beaten by Wolfgang and Bates and Devlin actually squared off in their quarterfinal in which Bates won, we had reached the Semi-finals and I had only one pick remaining – Tyler Bate but he would have to get past Wolfgang and then whoever won the other semi-final between Pete Dunne and Mark Andrews.

But get past his opponent he did, meaning my last pick had reached the finals, he opponent, Pete Dunne, “The Bruiserweight” continuously attempted to wear down Bate, but the 19-year old would simply not quit and finally broke through, beating Dunne with the Tyler Driver 97 to become the first WWE United Kingdom Champion in history.

So I can say that I have won my prediction for the United Kingdom championship tournament and congratulations goes to Tyler Bate on a deserving victory…
