WWE Rumours: “The Dead Man Cometh”

Everyone knows that the Undertaker is one of if not the greatest superstar to lace up a pair of boots and step into the squared circle, he is the phenome of the business, the conscience of the WWE and a corner stone of the company but at the end of last year’s WrestleMania we saw the symbolic gesture of laying the persona of the Undertaker to rest.

Everyone saw this as a final farewell from the dead man to the WWE Universe as the man that had dug so many holes and claimed just as many souls retire from the WWE with the costmary going out on a lose but with the respect and cheer still ringing in his ears from his many fans.

But rumour runs abound that the fans (including me) and the powers upon high within the company want the Undertaker back for “One more match” with one of his dream opponents of being the sixteen-time world champion, John Cena.

Cena, while on Edge and Christian’s Pod of Awesomeness explained why he never had a feud with the Undertaker at WrestleMania –

“We have to do the best for WrestleMania period, that event is completely the fiscal future of the company and every single year there are plans to do the right thing for WrestleMania and that match was not in the plans, and that’s the best I can say. So many guy complain about not being in the last match or main event match, or even with the people their comfortable with. Man, if it was only work with people you’re comfortable with, I would’ve had another 10,000 matches with Edge. Like that’s the easy part. The difficult part as a professional is to take what they need you to do and make it creative.”

“In a perfect world, would I want to face the Undertaker at WrestleMania? That’s every pro wrestler’s! that’s any WWE Superstar’s dream, to work with pretty much the maestro of WrestleMania at WrestleMania. That’s it! But if our company’s success depends on me doing something else, then my job is to do that something else. And I think the way all that went, I don’t have any regrets on the way any of that went, I think it was completely put together the right way. Would I have loved to do it? Yes. But I show up to work to do work”

Now it’s said that while Cena has obligations out of the company, he actually doesn’t have a fixed opponent for the grandest stage could “one more match” for the Undertaker see the fans dream match become a reality? Lord knows we want to see this match

Been a fan of the WWE since 2000, watched a few from the early years online, wasn’t a fan of where the “Powers that be” were taking the company but it has gotten better with the brand split, I thought that it was a format that worked
