Rumours On Card For WrestleMania 34

With Fastlane currently running at us like a runaway train and yet more superstars are getting added in the eleventh hour, we here at the Squared Circle decided to push past this pay per view and take a look at the card for the “Grandest Stage” WrestleMania.

The Main Event: Already we know some already set in stone, the big rumour that we reported on way back has finally come to fruition and we have what is said to be in the main event spot, Brock Lesnar defending his Universal Championship against Roman Reigns. Now, if this is your WrestleMania main event that will mean Reigns will have headlined four WrestleMania pay per views in a row.

The Match Of The Night: Another match is almost set in stone but we feel that the WWE may not be done with their favourite pastime of adding superstars as we have WWE Champion, AJ Styles defending against Shinsuke Nakamura

With Nakamura winning the 30-Man Royal Rumble, Nakamura punched his ticket for the match but Styles still has a six pack challenge to get through come Fastlane, while we hope the title match at the WrestleMania is one on one, we wouldn’t put it past the company to crown someone else champion at Fastlane and make this match a triple threat. Still what is expected to be the match of the night.

Mixed Tag: Another angle (pun intended – just wait for it) that the company is pushing is a mixed tag team match featuring Ronda Rousey & Kurt Angle (there it is) vs. Stephanie McMahon & Triple H.

Now we wanted this to happen after the WrestleMania 31 incident between Rousey and The Rock along with McMahon and Triple H but it seems that time has run its course and the “Great One” is not available so Angle takes the Rock’s place.

While Ronda had the momentum after that initial incident – too much time may have passed for anyone to get excited about the match

Dream Match Still Could Happen: One of the matches we wanted to see at WrestleMania was The Undertaker vs. John Cena, now Cena has stated this won’t happen but we think that unless Taker is going to cost Cena his shot in the six pack challenge at Fastlane, this dream match probably won’t happen.

While we continue to hold out hope, the light on that great showdown is slowly dwindling, It looked like WrestleMania 33 was Taker’s retirement, even though rumours are abound that he is apparently way healthier and has had a delayed hip surgery. Everyone wants the deadman back if it is for one more match.

The Intercontinental Championship Mess: The Miz, continues to feel disrespected but lost to both Seth Rollins and Finn Balor and we’re possibly looking at a triple threat match come the big day, although we here at the Squared Circle wouldn’t mind it being a ladder match either.

But whatever match they have, the Miz needs to lose the belt for a while – someone fresh should be given the push like Balor.

Repetitive Match Needs Fresh Players: SmackDown Tag Team Championship is once more being contested with The Usos defending against the New Day at Fastlane so unless there’s a title change and Usos play their rematch card why would we want to see this at WrestleMania unless they throw some fresh meat into the mix. Someone like The Bludgeon Brothers perhaps, in what could be a fantastic triple threat match instead of a simple one on one, Usos and New Day again.

Personal Match: Sasha Banks vs. Bayley – the WWE has been pushing this confrontation just a little, enough for everyone to pick up the possibility of a rematch to one of the best NXT matches of all-time and while we here at the office think that the only way this match could get bigger was if there was a championship at stake, we wouldn’t say no to another bout of Banks and Bayley.

A Battle Twice More: Our last item on our rumour list is the Andre the Giant battle royal, now I know what you’re thinking how can that be a rumour, they hold the battle every year – however a rumour is making the rounds of a Potential female battle royal. Now, I don’t know if this is legit or not nor who they would name it after, maybe a Mae Young Battle Royal, we have no idea

But for the rumours we’ve heard about this week…that’s all folks

Been a fan of the WWE since 2000, watched a few from the early years online, wasn’t a fan of where the “Powers that be” were taking the company but it has gotten better with the brand split, I thought that it was a format that worked
