Over the last few years, many have speculated, me included on whether or not the Undertaker’s match at that year’s show would be his last, over the years, the dead man has taken a shit load of beatings as well as dishing said beatings out.
This year’s WrestleMania loss would leave his streak at 23 – 2 and by his own words this record would no longer define him, the question is the Undertaker finally ready to call it enough.
After a 27 year career with the WWE, he has won the WWF/WWE Championship four times and the WWE’s World Heavyweight Championship three times, capping off with winning the 2007 Royal Rumble.
Last year at WrestleMania he faced Shane McMahon and after beating him he would throw his gloves in the ring and leave, many believing that he would be walking away from the company, this year he would make that belief into a reality – leaving his coat and hat in the centre of the ring and departing.
The man is a corner stone of the company, the conscience of the WWE and the greatest wrestler (personal view) ever to lace up a pair of boots and step into the square circle, if this is the end of an amazing run, I would expect him to be inducting into the WWE Hall of Fame class of 2018.
If it is the end…thank you Undertaker for all the memories
