WWE SummerSlam 2014 Prediction Results…

Well the hottest party has come to a close and would you believe it the powers at be added another match, I should get a point for the win tally for predicting that shit…

But it would be Rob Van Dam squaring off in the SummerSlam Kick-off match against Cesaro and had I known about the match when I last checked on Friday before posting the damn prediction blog I would have gone with Rob Van Dam and would you also believe I would have been right…

Even though I don’t get to claim a point for prediction the extra match, I would have scored my first point in the win tally if I had known…

So not to be distraught about a possible double win (BOLLOCKS) we now must concentrate on the matches we did know about and take a score from them…

Dolph Ziggler defeated The Miz (New Intercontinental Champion) Prediction: Loss

Paige defeated A.J Lee (New Divas Champion) Prediction: Loss

Rusev defeated Jack Swagger (Flag Match) Prediction: Loss

Seth Rollins defeated Dean Ambrose (Lumberjack Match) Prediction: Loss

Prediction tally at the half way line…Wins: 0 Losses: 4

Now believe it not I’m stressing out, I usually have a win before now and with only four matches left I can only hope of the slim chance of tying my prediction tallies four apiece…but I’m not holding my breath…

Bray Wyatt defeated Chris Jericho, Prediction: Loss

And I may hang my head in shame, with five confirmed prediction losses and only three more matches I cannot catch up and have officially lost my SummerSlam Prediction…

Stephanie McMahon defeated Brie Bella, Prediction: Loss

This is a first for MajorMadness.co.uk, I have never had one of my prediction tallies fall completely one way or the other before as I have always had some on either side of the scales but never like this…

Wins: 0 Losses: 6…maybe now might be a good idea to take them 2 wins from the start…

OH THANK YOU…Roman Reigns defeated Randy Orton, NOW THAT’S WHAT I’M TALKING ABOUT…Prediction: WIN

It only took 6 freaking matches but FINALLY… (Sorry wasn’t channelling the Rock there) but FINALLY…I have a precious point for the win tally…

With the main event still to come, I look back at what has been a hell of a pay per view and to note that perhaps I had ruled my predictions with my heart rather than my head…

Doesn’t bloody help with the authority getting involved like Kane costing Ambrose his match, Nikki turning on her sister to cost her the match with McMahon…

Brock Lesnar defeated John Cena (New WWE World Heavyweight Champion) Prediction: Loss

On a personal note on the main event it was disappointing to see a title change to the likes of Brock Lesnar, for a near 40 year old man who hardly ever competes in a WWE ring…it just shouldn’t happen, if you’re going to do a new champion there are better candidates out there…

So my final score for my predictions was 7 losses and I win (thank you Roman Reigns) and whilst not a complete whitewash, I have lost this prediction card royally but I now look forward to the next pay per view WWE Night of Champions on September the twenty-first

Because let’s face it with a 7-1 loss I can only do better next time…See you all then

Been a fan of the WWE since 2000, watched a few from the early years online, wasn’t a fan of where the “Powers that be” were taking the company but it has gotten better with the brand split, I thought that it was a format that worked
