A New Champion Under The 30 Day Rule

Due to her unfortunate knee injury, Naomi was forced to relinquish her SmackDown Women’s Championship to SmackDown LIVE General Manager Daniel Bryan because it was established that she would be unable to defend her title in the allotted 30-day period.

You know I never understood this rule as you have had plenty of wrestlers that have exceeded the 30-day rule and still not defended a championship, Hulk Hogan, Brock Lesnar, even the tag team division are guilty of this.

This rule only exists I think, simply to get championships away from legit injured superstars but if you are going to inforce it, it has to be a case of “A rule for one, a rule for all” kind of thing and not pick and choose when you decide to use this technicality.
