WWE Payback Prediction Results

Well Payback comes to a close and I would find I have a bit more than my results to get to but will get them out the way first.

The New Day defeated Cesaro & Tyson Kidd…

I start off with a win for my tally as I think as New Day had just won the belts most recently I didn’t think they would lose them right off the bat…+1

Bray Wyatt defeated Ryback…

Well hell I thought Ryback had the better momentum going into this bout but thinking about it, he come off with a loss at WrestleMania against the dead man so he had to pick up a victory somewhere…-1

Shamus defeated Dolph Ziggler…

I am now behind on the numbers game as I expected Ziggler to carry on his winning ways from Extreme Rules…-1

Tally…-2 +1
(Bonus Match) I didn’t pick up on this match being made but R-Truth defeated Stardust

The Ascension defeated Curtis Axel & “Macho Mandow” …

Well as well as levelling up on my tally 2 – 2 I can’t say I was surprised with this match as one cannot say the Ascension’s opponents where really a proper tag team, maybe a couple of odd balls thrown together to help make another match but they were never going to win.

John Cena defeated Rusev to retain the U.S Championship…

Well hell surprise, surprise, shocked are you, I’m not…warned ya…the champ is here…leaving me nicely 3 – 2 up in my result table…

Tamina & Naomi defeated the Bella Twins…

What can I say, with Tamina just returning there was no way in hell she would lose her first match back as she will no doubt become a serious contender for the Divas Championship but it does land me 4 – 2 up on the results board.
Neville defeated King Barrett via count out…

Now I said he would win and it would be an upset victory and I don’t care if it was by count out, it has gone down in the book Neville beat Barrett leaving me 5 – 2 up on my tally.

Seth Rollins defeated Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose and Randy Orton to retain the WWE World Heavyweight Championship…

Well in a fatal four way match it’s usually every man for himself, but in this case it was a royal stitch up and Rollins retained…

It wouldn’t be till after my prediction blog came out that I realised that take the authority away and you got three guys that used to run together (The Shield) and Randy Orton.

I thought they wouldn’t use such a twist in a plot but it seems the Shield has had other ideas but despite this loss it still leaves me 5 – 3 up mean I end on a victory note.

A successful prediction…

Now that the results are out the way let’s talk about the next pay per view, not only is it in less than two weeks but it is the return of the Elimination Chamber.

Where rumour runs that only will we have the first ever Tag Team Championship Elimination Chamber match, but the United States, and WWE World Heavyweight Championship are said to be at stake as well…

The Intercontinental championship is also guaranteed to have a new holder of the coveted belt as Daniel Bryan vacated it shortly before WWE Payback…

So I will see you all on the last day of the month for the Elimination Chamber…

Been a fan of the WWE since 2000, watched a few from the early years online, wasn’t a fan of where the “Powers that be” were taking the company but it has gotten better with the brand split, I thought that it was a format that worked
